For some reason ( and i have disabled images and have only text for buttons)
when a user signs onto my board...all new posts dont say new beside them they have a missing icon next to it that says new..I cannot find where to disable this. and have it just in text form...any ideas anyone?
Open up Themes/default/MessageIndex.template.php
Search for:
<a href="', $topic['new_href'], '" id="newicon' . $topic['first_post']['id'] . '"><img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/', $context['user']['language'], '/new.gif" alt="', $txt[302], '" /></a>';
Replace with:
<a href="', $topic['new_href'], '" id="newicon' . $topic['first_post']['id'] . '">New';
