I dont know how to explain it very well, because my english isnt perfect so i made a pic comparing the feature i want (included in vBulletin) with a SMF forum, here it is:

Using this (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=540) mod you can get that info to show up in the profile. Having in in the topic display would be an overkill, imo. Too much extra processing to do.
