I need a plugin like upload image feature of PhpBB...

That button opens a new windows where any user can upload image, and the image is saved on server.

I know there is default Attachment option in SMF, but i can't choose where to put the images! For example i would like to insert an image in the middle of text.
I need a mod like that one in PhpBB.

I agree it would be a nice mod.
Thinking out loud here for anyone thinking of having a go at this.
It would probably be easier to enable the user to upload attachments as normal and instead add the functionality of setting placeholders.
eg add a button next to the upload field to insert [attachment1] at the cursor.
And then have
[attachment1] appear in the post and then when its viewed that is replaced by the attachment. And then its just a case of removing the attachment from the attachments array. so you show any remaining attachments which don't have placeholders in the usual place.
