I think I've got a problem. Ive done the upgrade, it says that it was successfull but I have the following message:
"Upgrading the forum...
Don't worry, we will be back shortly with an updated forum. It will only be a minute"
and it was 1 hour ago.
Someone can help me about it?
Thanks
You forum is in maintenance mode... log in as the administrator and take it out of maintenance...
I can't log in as administrator because the login page does not appear! ???
before, I did login in the forum page.
I don't have the software (I do have a login in Lycos Europe and they installed my forum in my website).
How to make the login page appear?
the site: http://www.perspective-implantaire.org/forum_folder/
Please help me.
OK OK I've found how to fix it!
simple in fact but I was searching for something much more complexe and it was simple.

Since this post is over a year old, I don't think it much matters anymore.
well one of my friends has the same problem, couldn't find any answer after searching so might as well try it here.
Are they using an old version of SMF? If they are having problems with a 1.0.5 -> 1.0.6 or newer upgrade, then a new thread should be opened. I'm pretty sure this thread deals with a 1.0 RC or older.
If my memory is good, i did opened the "settings.php" file with my ftp program (golive) and changed in the code "#########maintenance#########":
$maintenance=0
instead of $maintenance=1 or $maintenance=2
then i saved the file and it did work again.
8) It didn't happened so far in the last upgrade.
thanks guys, changing $maintenance works.
I know this is an old thread but I just ran across the very same problem just a few moments ago when I upgraded my forum from 1.07 to 1.1 RC2. The settings.php / maintenance mode fix worked.....thank goodness it was posted here! Thank you!
