I'm not sure if this is appropriate for here, or for a mod. I looked in both places, but obviously either there's nothing there, or I'm using the wrong keywords - possibly both. ;-] And if it's a mod, it'll have to be re-done (or at least re-checked) for a) each theme, and b) any upgrades, like, say, SMF 2.0...
Basic problem is this:
Enable "Time before topic is warned as old on reply" in the Admin section (under Posts and Topics >> Topic Settings), the forum code in the SMF Default Theme (other themes as well, but let's be specific, here. *grin*).
Then, using Quick Reply, or hitting the Preview button from Quick Reply, you don't get warned at all. Or, if you use the Reply form, and preview your post, the warning goes away.
In either case, it should be fairly simple to have the warning show up above the Quick Reply box, or in the space where it usually shows, but also have it show up when previewing.
I realise this is a case of "the user is being stupid, slap him down" but they outnumber me ;-] and I'd like to be able to say that I gave them every warning...
Comments? Suggestions for what to search for in mods? ;-]
