you know how when someone is banned on vBulletin there avatar changed to a "BANNED" avatar
and under them it says "BANNED" and stuff
ahh i know you could do this by just making a new membergroup but then you wouldnt be able to set days for them to be banned/unbanned automatically
visual warning mod?
you just need to create a banned usergroup and have the group avatar set to say banned or what not in a graphic.
I use some simple "if" statements on my forum using the $message['member']['is_banned'] variable. Here's what I use for membergroup bars and custom titles (I can't remember what to replace with this though...)
//First off, make sure they're not banned - if they are, show the image
if($message['member']['is_banned'])
echo '
<img src="banned.gif" /><br />';
// Show the member's custom title, if they have one.
else if (isset($message['member']['title']) && $message['member']['title'] != '')
echo '
', $message['member']['title'], '<br />';
// Show the member's primary group (like 'Administrator') if they have one.
else if (isset($message['member']['group']) && $message['member']['group'] != '')
echo '
', $message['member']['group'], '<br />';
else
echo '
', $message['member']['post_group'], '<br />';
if(!$message['member']['is_banned'])
echo '
', $message['member']['group_stars'], '<br />';
That should help...

I tried VWM..., but I don't like somethings..., and the banned users is one of them, if I ban one user by mistake..., it is a lot of trouble :P
Actually, is an options on VWM that only who can warn can see the warnings..., so other users can't see how is banned.
//First off, make sure they're not banned - if they are, show the image
if($message['member']['is_banned'])
echo '
<img src="banned.gif" /><br />';
that is a code given above that would seem to work fine and you need to add that in the display.template.php
