I've seen this option on different types of boards, but there isn't anything similar for SMF.
It would be so helpful to have about 15 various language packs all saved into one package.
I have members from around the world, and in order for them to see the board in their language; currently it would be required to install a separate pack for each language.
Is there some particular reason why this feature hasn't been implemented before? It's difficult when a person doesn't understand English.. almost impossible, when they're unable to go to the control panel and change their language to something they speak, when they can't read english in the first place.
I've seen on other types of forums where small flags are displayed, and a person can click on one of those, and convert the website to their own language.
As it is; if someone can't speak english to start with; well, there's not a darn thing they can do.
