Otsikko: Switching from phpBB to SMF
Kirjoitti: Celox - marraskuu 06, 2007, 09:25:17 AP
Hey there,

I've been developing my own site scripts for a few months now, like shoutbox and cms scripts. What I wanted to do for my next site's version is to integrate the forum login into the main site (with phpBB), since there's no easy way to do this I started thinking about converting to another forum script, one that would let me adjust the script more so I can add my own scripts easily.

I've read this topic  (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=19638.0) which enlightened me to try out SMF, because you can just include a header and footer with PHP. In phpBB you have to work with nasty template files and create EVERYTHING inside the phpBB script.. That's just a no go for me.

Just wanted to share this with you all.
