How do I add a Google meta tag to my forum? I use the search feature but found nothing. Thanks.
And whats the best way to get traffic?
I think google ignores meta tags... ;D
But it may be useful for other search engines...

Say what?
Done that. But its asking me to place a meta tag somewhere in the forum. Cannot place it in the html of the theme so I do not know where it should go. Got to be an easier way to get the word out about my forum.

As you need other sites to link to you in order to get a good rank submitting your site really doesn't do anything!

Indeed Google ignores most meta tags most of the time

There is very slim evidence that doing a manual submission actually casts suspicion on your site. While the evidence is flimsy, I'd not take chances. Get some backlinks going instead. If other sites link to you, you'll get indexed. Also, if you want to go a bit faster, get the Google toolbar and browse around your site while it is active (as it has to poll Google to get the PR, Google will get the site indexed that way). Likewise with Yahoo!, although I don't believe Live.com Search (formerly MSN Search) has a good way other than manual submission or backlinks.

The description tag is used for the snippet on search results. The keywords and description tags count for very very little because of the abuses done with them in the past. Consider meta keywords as a good technique, but not a must-do.
