Another month, another batch of ideas from my ideas for mods list.
I just don't have the time to make all of my ideas into mods. So I'm posting the ones which I'm unlikely to have the desire or time to make myself.
Mark Page as Read
Unread/Unread replies, where there are lots of pages it can be a pain. So the ability to mark a page as read would make it easier.
PM Answering Machine
An interstitial between clicking pm user and being able to write/send the pm.
Example uses
- If your away eg on holiday, leave an answer machine message to inform users who are going to pm you that you are away and won't be able to respond
- Put a message, eg on smf.org, Please do not pm me for support.
http_referer log
Create a log of all http_referers to the forum, viewable in the admin centre
by base domain and/or url

Reputation System
A reputation system based on your posting behaviour and whats in your posts?
If you've ever played a management simulation type game, and your players have abilities/ratings etc. Like that but with comments based on it
Eg on posting, the system checks your post for use of code tags. Your geakness rating increases.
It checks for swearwords, and increases your abrasiveness rating.
It checks for quotations of other peoples posts, and increases your parrot rating.

Thats sort of like it. Except I think my idea was to have people see the message BEFORE they send the pm or even write the pm.
eg "Turn back now if your thinking of pm'ing me for support" ;)
Hmmm, might be kinda hard to do if the user doesn't go through the profile to send the PM.
