Hey, I just bought a website and I installed SMF cos I <3 it! Then I try to login to my Administrator account and it says:
You should fill in a username.
Why does it say this. I AM ENTERING IT!
Here is a preview of what I mean:

Please click the image above to see what i REALLY mean!
Did you enter the very same user name that you filled in while you ran the installer?
I sure did. If you need to know, i used Fantastico from my websites cPanel.
link to your board?
www.runeblast.org/smf (http://www.runeblast.org/)
That is strange... i see nothing wrong with the html source of your board (sometimes it can cause these problems.
Have you recently messed with your board settings or moved it? can you download repair_settings.php and ensure your settings are correct? (What is repair_settings.php? (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=18096.0))
I am reinstalling it.
EDIT: nothing happened after reinstall. same error as before.
Well, can you try to install it manually then and see if that would make any difference? But if you do, don''t forget to un-install your current forum through Fantastico again
Thats strange... have you tried installing SMF through the install package as opposed to using your host's fantastico?
No, that is what I plan to do.
Nothing worked with Manual installation, checking if it is a Fantastico error in my cPanel.
