This is a total NOOB question but, how do I make a keyword a hyperlink in a post?
I've tried but I just keep seeing the full link and not a clickable underscored word.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Like this...
Use this...
OK, I get it.
Thanks!
Is there a mod that would make this more user friendly?
Like say a user highlights a word and clicks a button that would make that word an underscored hyperlink?
You could censor the word, then censor it to link to something else. That might be a bit over the top thing to do, but it should work. Other than that, no clue.
I agree, a tool for creating hyperlinks with keywords like the way Blogger has implemented it would be user friendly.
Manually doing it as described is not something I want to post a FAQ on for my users.
The average user creates a post-readability-unfriendly url link in my forum that looks like this:
http://www.auctionflex.com/showlot.ap?co=9768&weventid=4095&weventitemid=1541788&wmaingroupid=0&wcatmastid=0&inventorytype=&minyear=2007&minm
Which would look better as click here (http://www.auctionflex.com/showlot.ap?co=9768&weventid=4095&weventitemid=1541788&wmaingroupid=0&wcatmastid=0&inventorytype=&minyear=2007&minm)
I don't want to spend the next 5 years explaining to every forum visitor that doesn't know the secret handshake that "there's a better way to create a link ...do this... then this.."
You should be able to highlight english key words (not a url), a dialog pops up for the url, paste it in the dialog, hit ok. A beautiful hyperlink is created automatically.
There are mods to do just that

You could also use my mod that automagically gets the titles of pages and turns them in a titled link...
