On the forum I run it lists there are Guests on the forum browsing etc. IE 3 Guests and 3 Users are on.
My question is: Are the guests actual people browsing, or is it a chance they are search engine bots etc? So could it just be the various "guests" I have checking out the website all day are actually not guests but various internet programs like search engines or bots of sorts? Or does Simple Machines only record unique people and not bots of sorts?
Easiest way to find out would be to install the Googlebot & Spiders (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=143) mod. :)
(Make sure you make the theme edits if you're using a custom theme.)
