I'm looking for an option to allow quoting of multiple people at once. I'm on a vb forum where they have + signs in the corners of the posts. You check those and they turn red. When you get to the bottom of the post and click reply, then each thread you clicked the button on will be in the reply box for you. They do not drop into the quick reply box, just the full reply. I'm looking for something like that on my board.
If not, the other option that would be nice is that if you clicked quote, is there a way to keep the browser from jumping down to the bottom of the page? Right now if I'm reading the first reply of a 10 post thread and I want to quote it, when I press quote, BAM right to the bottom. I'd love to be able to keep reading the thread w/o having to scroll to the top. Multi quotes would be a better solution, but not jumping to the bottom would also work.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a Highlight and click Quote button.
Because I find it annoying when people quote a whole post of several paragraphs when they only comment/reply to a specific point. (and save the user from having to fish the bit they wanted out.

LainaaThis mod allows the user to quote only one part of a post, by selecting (highlighting) the desired text prior to clicking the quote button.

I thought i'd seen every mod in the mod area.
Btw, there maybe a negative seo effect if you constantly quote because search engines detect it as duplicated content.
Now whilst it maybe minor for single quotes, if people go crazy with multiple quotes, it may have a bigger impact.

It looks for the moment that no-one has taken an interest in making the mod.
However I believe the Feature Requests forum is more for features for SMF Core.
So maybe its in the wrong place. It possibly may get more traction if it was moved to Mod Requests forum.
That said it may take some time weeks/months for someone to take an interest in making it, and actually completing it.
