Title: vBulletin copy/paste
Post by: RuneFire on December 31, 2007, 06:34:47 AM
Hi there

With vBulletin forums, it is possible to copy information from a source, and paste it on a vB forum and maintaining the formatting, fonts, hyperlinks, etc and as on the source.

Is this possible on SMF, or is there a mod for this?

Plz....

thx

This may be available with SMF 2.0's WYSIWYG editor (More information: SMF 2.0 Christmas Update (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=212926.0) and Introducing SMF 2.0 (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=163438.0)). You can enable the new editor in your profile on this site and see if it does what you're looking for.

i just had a look at the "WYSIWYG" editor, and it looks right in the text box when you paste the info, but the preview looks like random ascii codes.

edit: tried all sorts of combinations, the "wysiwyg" feature delivers only basic results, like hyperlinks. i tried copying and pasting a simple thumbnail image hyperlink, and it simply fails.

will this be sorted by v2.0, or is it a minor feature for later troubleshooting?
thx
