Otsikko: Two administrators in SMF
Kirjoitti: humbleworld - tammikuu 10, 2008, 06:13:21 IP
Whenever I change a setting, SMF prompts me which administrator password would I use.

I am the only administrator but there's another one
with symbols only. It looks like this: <>
No name. I check in members list. That symbol is not found.

Am I hijacked?

i see the same thing.
are you using fire fox and used it to save the password when you logged into admin?

if you are using fire fox, go into your preferences, then the security tab, then show passwords.  on the right side, you will see your forums address, then under the user name column, you see the <>.  you can select show password if you want and see that the two password are the same.

i think what you are seeing is fire fox asking you which password you what to use for the site.  one with your user name (like when you log in), and the other for when you goto admin (which had no user name "<>").

i am using fire fox on ubuntu 7.10, thats what i see and what i figured out.  maybe its the same for you, maybe not.
