It's the database password you used when installing SMF. This can be found in Settings.php - you need to have SMF installed first before using the converter.

Also - just as people always forget - make sure that the database user for SMF is the same as for Invision - if you installed SMF into the invision database then this is already the case - if not you'll want to use cpanel to add the SMF user to the Invision database - so they can see the data

In cpanel do the following:
1) Log in
2) Go to "databases" (Possibly called MySQL Databases)
3) Scroll down the page, past all the database names/permissions etc, and you will see two select boxes side by side, under the heading "Add User to DB" (Or similar)
4) Select the SMF user you setup to use SMF (Probably has SMF in the name) in the first select box.
5) Select the Invision database (Probably has Inv or IPB in the name) in the second select box.
6) Click "add".

Done :)

If you go to the admin panel, then forum maintenance and then selec "Find and fix any errors" and then "Recount board stats" - does that fix it?

actualy the posts are good... but in the board index, it says that the last post was last May 22, 2004.. that date was the date i installed IPB...

all posts are kinda not in order...

A recount should fix many of these problems.  Posting in the boards or topics will also.
