Nicely done worked great with 1.4 and thats rare nice to see some good well working mods for 1.4 trickling down....thanks again...D
you're welcome ;)
This looks great.
Silly question, how do I configure it? For instance, what if i only want some of the bookmarks listed.
Thank you
There is nothing to configure, it just shows the widget which is stored on a addthis.com server. They don't offer any configurable options...sorry ;)
Hi, i made the hacker-test on your homepage and now i'm "ausgesperrt" locked-off your page... i hope you send no abuse mail to my ISP......
Regards, Christian
Hehe ;) tell me your ip and i will remove the ban and delete the ip from the database. I did not report an abuse if you clicked one of the links...
Ehm, one question... you wrote "ausgesperrt", normaly the message should appear in english execept you're from germany. Which browser do you use and what is you preferred language the browser sent ?
//Edit: Found it... you're from germany right ?
Yes im from Germany was Arcor-pool IP.....
Really needed Suggestion:
The Mod should be altered, to only submit the real-URL of the topic - not the ones with "topicseennew" or "new" and all that stuff at their ends.
Things like ";msg0;boardseen#new" should get stripped-off when submitting, no matter over which URL you get into the post.
Regards, Christian
I've tried the package parser as well as a manual install, and I can't get this to work on helios multi. It works great on the core theme, but I'm having difficulty with theme integration. any thoughts?
You can add this few lines of code anywhere you like... you can use my nopaste (http://www.marook-online.de/smf/nopaste) and post your Display.php and tell me where do you want this widget as well...

well it appears on the topic title bar on the Core skin, and this would be ideal on helios, but when I place the code from the installation document into helios multi, I get a parse error. I tried the no paste link and got this:

Ehm you cannot upload archives or any other binaries to that... its just used to post sourcecode in textformat...i dont need the modfile, i need your display.php from the sourcedirectory of your smf installation. This file you can upload directly to the nopaste ;) Or just insert the code into the textbox by using copy+paste...
how can install manual....!?

what about utilizing addthis' stats? When you go to their page you can sign up for an account to view stats. Can I update this mod to push stats to them?

Any news on this? You considered it?
addthis_pub = '' <-- enter your addthis account name
Depends on where it should appear.... display.template.php is a good place
this is cool, thanks for sharing!
you're welcome ;)
Do you know how I can change the widget button from "Bookmark" to "Share"?
I already have the Bookmarks mod for internal user bookmarks, and I don't want to confuse my users.
Thanks.

Ok, thanks.
One more question... I have an account now at AddThis. Is there any way to use the code for the buttons that they generate from their wizard?
For example, I was given this code to add to my site:
<!-- AddThis Button BEGIN -->
<script type="text/javascript">addthis_pub = 'ericstepp';</script>
<a href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php" onmouseover="return addthis_open(this, '', '', '[TITLE]')"
onmouseout="addthis_close()" onclick="return addthis_sendto()">
<img src="http://s9.addthis.com/button1-share.gif" width="125" height="16" border="0" alt="" />
</a><script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/152/addthis_widget.js"></script>
<!-- AddThis Button END -->
But, I keep getting parser errors when I replace the mod code with the above.
you have to escape the ' signs... like this
from this :
<script type="text/javascript">addthis_pub = 'ericstepp';</script>
to this....
<script type="text/javascript">addthis_pub = \'ericstepp\';</script>
You see ' is replaced with \'
you have to replace all other ' signs too...
How is ' called in english ?? hmmm......
Nice mod. Thanks. :)

An apostrophe if it is part of a contraction, grammatically.
I think in this instance, they're called "single quotes".
Hey Marook,
I can't make this mod work on my forum. Can you help me please? The button is not showing; I tried all possibilities in the code. Manually, by the copy/paste code.
Thanks to help. My forum link is in the signature.

Hi Marook,
We are having a lot of problems getting this mod to work. We've tried adding it via the instructions here as well as using the manual install instructions for 1.1.5 from the mod site. It's still not showing up in our forum. I used the nopaste that you listed in a previous post-but am not sure what to do with that now. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks :)
Its the same code as your Add-This widget under your donation button. Just copy it anywhere you want...

Yes we have tried that, as well as trying the code you've provided. Believe me I have surely noticed how many times you have already said that in this thread. It sounds so easy and yet, it doesn't show up in our forum. We are using the absado theme- don't know if that makes a difference or not.
ok that sounds funny...i will do that for you, please send me your theme and tell me where you want to appear the widget... and believe me, its soooo easy ;)

Hi,
How can I run this mod with SMF 1.5 and the Babylon theme?
It works under the standard theme but not with Babylon. I tried installing by hand and either the button does not show up or the templete does not work anymore.
nvm figured it out. ty!
I have a new question. How can I get it to go next to the report to moderator option and the ip address?
Pleas read the whole thread and your question will be answered ;) I'm very busy at the moment and can't really help...
I got it figured out. Thanks!

Hi,
I have this running on SMF 1.1.7 with no problems.
Mathew
I'm running SMF 1.1.7, Blog Community 2.0.2, and Tiny Portal 0.9.8.
I have the AddThis mod, and I just attempted to use the facebook feature and got a 404 error message (page not found). I have addthis installed directly from my WordPress blog, so I know that Facebook addthis generally works - just not off of my forum blog. Any suggestions?
QT

Hello,
tried to add this extension, but there is one problem; addthis is displayed on the top middle side of the page. See link: http://www.next-level.si/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,35/topic,51.0/
Any idea how to fix that?
Greetings, Tadej
Will this MOD work in version 1.1.10. It says it is only compatible for version up to 1.1.4. I really like this addthis bookmark.
Is there any MOD similar to addthis bookmark for SMF?
Its really cool.

ANy luck on RC3
I can NOT get this to work for nothing lol It it not compatible with 1.1.11? or not compatible with FerryTema Theme? Thanks in advance
It parses for 1.1.11. Not sure about the theme though... try using these instructions (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse;mod=1062;attach=47329;smf_version=1.1.11) to install it on your theme.

3- Does it have any kind of ad like "sharethis.com" or something? or did you do all of this yourself and it doesnt have any kind of ads or copyright attached to it?
Thank you.
