Hi!  I'm wanting to add an intergrated chat room, but make it only available to a certain membergroup, or in a certain area.  Is this possible?

The most likely mod for your purpose would be:

The link for it will appear in your navigation menu but it can be restricted to being seen only by those with permission so to do...Flash Chat is, however, not FOC.

thanks for the reply but I did not find a way to restrict based on membergroup in that link? Do you have any additional info?

If you go the FlashChat route you just need to add an if statement to Sources\Chat.php to check if the user is part of the member group.

For example to check if the user is a global moderator.

if(in_array(2, $GLOBALS['user_info']['groups']))

Then use fatal_lang_error to let them know they are not allowed.
