Hi guys,
What I need is a way to redirect my viewtopic.php page to a different one a certain number of times per day, per unique user (IP address).
Ie. Someone clicks a topic in the forum and just before they see the topic they are directed to an alternative page. This happens 10 times (for example) per day and per IP address.
After the 10th topic they get straight into the topic without the redirect.
Sure there's mod / free code somewhere to do this, just don't know what to search for!
First off, you are using SMF right? I only ask because viewtopic.php I think is what it is called in another forum software, not in SMF.
I am going to move this to Mod Requests (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=79.0) because I don't think this would necessarily be a real quick code change and so mod authors are more likely to see this request.
