Hello... New SMF user here, and I LOVE it!!
One thing I've been trying to find, but can't seem to find anything is if/how to require certain fields to be filled in at registration.
I would like to make the birthdate, gender and location as mandatory fields, but I'd also like other fields to be on the registration page as well, like instant messanger fields, web site, etc.
So is there a mod or a way to do this?
Additionally, is there a way to make it so that if those mandatory fields are blank it forces them to fill them in next time they visit their profile?
I've searched and searched, and can't find anything. I would think in the Admin panel you could determine what fields to show on the registration page, and which fields were mandatory?

I'll check it out in more detail, but does that mod also help me make "standard" fields that are already in SMF a requirement on the registration page??
Also, I'm guessing there's no way to get it to force people to fill in mandatory fields if they log in and the mandatory fields are blank?

What you are asking for is available in the upcoming 2.0. I would probably just hold out until then. I do remember reading a post that showed how to add it to the current version. I just can't remember where I found it. If I come across it I'll post the link.
