Hi,
I need to make some changes in my board and, as I do have not the knowledge or the time to do them myself, I'd be willing to pay to someone else to do the mod for me. To make it short I will say first what I need and then I will explain what I need it for, just in case someone can give any ideas to achieve my goal.
What I need
- I need to include a new box on each users profile and restrict the access to a particular board unlees that box is checked
- (optional) That box should only be visible to users over 18.
What I need it forI run quite a big board (more than 35,000 users) that deals mainly with video editing, although we have a board very similar to the "Chit cha (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=5.0)t" one in which the users talk about almost anything.
There has always been a very nice and "clean" atmosphere but from some time until now some users have started publishing some videos that, although they are indeed interesting for some users, some others consider they are "out of place" in our board. We want to keep our board open to any type of users but, at the same time, we don't want to miss some intenresting contents thay may not be appropiate to all users.
If we had a board restricted only to those users that have agreed to view the "Possibly offensive content" by checking the corresponding box in their profiles, then our users could post there freely almost any kind of content without the constant review of moderators.
I think this system should be easy to implement and very effective.
To make things safer, I would also like to make that board "age dependant" so that users under 18 could not check that box. I know that overpassing that system is as easy as lying about the age and then checking the box. But that system would prevent straight access to some contents and would make our work as moderatos much easier. We do not intend to publish porn or gore, just some "doubtful contents" that some people consider "normal" and "harmless" but some others think they are not justified in a board like ours.

I apologize for this post if there is already a mod to achieve that, but I have been searching both the forum and the mod section and I have not been able to find anything about this matter.
