I am interested to hear some of the technical details from fellow forum administrators out there such as roughly how large your board is, what OS you are running to host, your server specs, how many boards you are running per server and if any of you are running your forum environment virtualized.
I am interested in how the forum is scaling for traffic vs. system performance/specs.

Running on a personally-owned server. Currently on Slackware 11.0 (need to upgrade to 12.0 at some point). Machine is a 1x 745mHz Pentium 3 with 1gB RAM (IBM Netfinity 4000R).

Running on shared hosting donated by company I work for (I'm their systems administrator). Server runs Slackware 11.0 and is a Dual 2.8gHz Xeon with 2gB RAM. I don't know how many other forums are running on it, I usually don't inspect the customer's sites unless they cause problems. Given the sites we host, I predict this might be the only forum on it (plenty of e-commerce sites though).

Pentium D 3.2Ghz, 4GB Ram, Mirrored 2x160GB SATA and 2x320GB SATA
The server is at my house and runs off a business cable connection (5MB down / 2MB up). The forum runs in VMware on Fedora 5 64bit. I have compiled my own RPMs from the latest Fedora source to keep critical packages up to date. Fedora is a nightmare to update if you skip releases so it will get a clean install to CentOS 6 when it's released.
The machine also serves as my development box. I have other VMware guests with pfSense, CentOS, Debian, etc.
Dedicated server, Xeon 3050 - Dual Core 2.13Ghz, 4GB ram.
