Hi, as my first post i'd like to congratulate the smf owners. well done.
I have a few questions if that's ok,
#1 i need to update my forum theme etc, is there a wysiwyg mod?
#2 could you explain the paypal membership feature in smf 2.0
#3 when will 2.0 be available for download to the public?
Keep up the good work.
Louis
#1, There isn't currently a WYSIWYG post editor for 1.1.x
It will be a standard feature in 2.0
Or were you referring to a WYSIWYG way to editor you theme?
#2, Its like the Paid Subscriptions mod for 1.1.x
#3, No estimation dates are being specified, its a case of when its ready, it will be released.
Cheers,
I was talking about a WYSIWYG theme editor?
As for the paid subscription mod, if set up correctly, people will have to pay to become a member and see the posts and topics right?
Thanks for your help.
They must be a member of the forum BEFORE they can do a paid subscription.
There is a preview when editing the style.css of the theme.
But there isn't a WYSIWYG editor like Dreamweaever or Frontpage for editing the code/pages of smf. Thats because SMF comprises many different files.
To edit the html of the pages you will need html AND php knowledge as the templates as html/php mix.

To edit the html of the pages you will need html AND php knowledge as the templates as html/php mix.
However, most template changes people want to do are very minor and don't need that much knowledge.
Knowledge is needed when making radical changes to the templates, however.
