How do I place clickable banners on the index and the tops of the boards?

I've installed the ad management mod in conjunction with the Tem Tem theme on 1.1.4 and I can't get the ads to appear on the main index page, on top or bottom. The only pages that the ads will show up is at the top of the individual forum pages, and at the top of the post pages. Does anyone know of a way to correct this? Thank you in advance!

sorry, i am completely new. once i download the ad management mod to my computer what do i do to apply it to my site and then use it to post ad banners?
