Is there a psd of the logo?
SMF doesn't have a logo yet. The one you see in the top left is the Simple Machines logo.

Don't know about Twisted Sister, but it is definitely a song by Prince - as in (You) Sexy M.F. (I think you can all probably figure out what the M.F. stands for. ;D)

i'm racking my brains for a simple communications machine (apart from cups+string).. i mean the abacus + see-saw are cool for the 'simple machines' part.. but something that evokes the thought of communication would be cool.

No I don't have the original. I just did a google search and pulled the image. Sorry :-[ I will see if there is a clearer image of one on the net. :)

1) looks a bit clunky and bodged...
2) doesnt have 'cool' factor
(if u've read william gibson's new book 'pattern recognition'.. this reminds me of that)
3) Its not instantly recognisable for what it is.

I agree with everything except #3. I think everyone knows what it is. But thats just me. And don't be sorry. Its just the first thing I thought of for early communication and simple machines. :)
Besides I know its not "cool" but I kinda liked it. :D
