I have a shoutbox on my forums that has this problem of letting banned users posted in it. I was wondering if there was anyway to prevent that from happening.
The version is SMF Shoutbox 1.16b ... but I forgot who made it. Someone who was finishing Deep's Shoutbox I think.
Anyways. I have a user that was flaming in the shoutbox, so we banned him, but he was still able to post in the shoutbox. Is there anyway to prevent it?
Hello Shrukan,
Go to your Admin Control Panel and click on Ban List
Browse Ban Triggers, and put a partial ban . . i.e allow the user to still login and confirm that it works. . I can't gurantee You %100 assurance that this will work as I don't use SMF ShoutBox. . But I will download it now and try it out. .
Thanks for using SMF
Regards
Give me a link to the SMF shoutbox mod u use
That's the thing. It's no longer on the SMF site:

This is what it looks like though :/ :

Edit:
See the thing is he still shouts and flames even while the ban is issued until he goes off the page. O-o
ok...i'm new...i admit it...but can someone tell me how to get to the Admin Control Panel?
In SMF? Click the "Admin" link.
ok...then something isn't right...
I concur. No admin link visible anywhere...
Even as the almighty Super Administrator.
Any ideas as to where to find it.
Really strange ****** man
