Otsikko: Using the membegroup name as moderator
Kirjoitti: Kimmie - helmikuu 26, 2008, 01:28:59 IP
Is there a way to make the membergroup name show as the mod for an area instead of individual names?

Example,

Instead of a board showing Tom, Jane, Mary as mods it will show "x group" as the mods of that area?

I tried typing in the membergroup name in the mod box on a board but it wouldnt work.

That would be alot easier than having to modify each board and have to type in all of the names.

I just noticed that I posted this in the wrong area (mods please forgive me - I was reading a topic here and forgot to change areas)

Yes local mods

what I want to do is this..when you modify a board and put the members name that you want to mod that board in the box - If I have 4 mods - instead of having to type in ALL 4 names, I want to be able to just put the membergroup name there to make it  easier since they are all in the same group.

I tried typing the group name in and it wouldnt work. The page refreshed but the name didnt stay.

Is there a way this can be done?

SMF stores the board ID and members' ID of moderators to the database. I don't think group is possible unless you create a mod.
