You can tag multiple sections of your site!!!(recommended for multiple informative articles on your site). The best part is, this sites that you tag will show up on everyones list who requested for that niche so it's you can target the people who are genuinely interested about your site.
There's more. If you can increase page views like that by your self then imagine others tagging your site as well. That would be 1000s of page views. This could spread around your site without too much work.

People don't realise how effective it is, i did mad promotion, got about 12 people to prop my forums' index link. I got 500 visitors (around 350 unique) that day from stumbleupon, im probably going to get a similar number today.

ah too bad, it really depends how dedicated you are anyways and most probably the niche, some niche aren't that popular in SU and some are very. But overall don't expect a sudden change in visitors over the night but expect more of a long run results.

I stumbled my proxy.. it went well. Over 3000 uniques from that now.
3000 dang...thats more than i ever got from there.

There is a lot of stuff going around at the moment about using StumbleUpon as a guide to more traffic. It is taking advantage of a service that wasn't intended to be used in this way.
