Someone contacted me and said he could not get into my site. As far as I know he is the only one that has had this problem so far. Anyway this is the message he said he got when trying to enter the site.....

Here is the site Addy....

Usually when I've seen that message its when the database is hosted externally (usually on Godaddy shared servers).
(Instead of on the localhost)
When I was on Godaddy shared server, I had the message, fortunately it disappeared when I changed to VPS and the databases are held locally.
Another than that I don't know of way to solve it.
I do use go daddy. But I've had 108 members join since 10 days ago and he is the only one so far who has said he has a problem.......hmmmm
Hello. I am experiencing the same problem and getting the same error on godaddy. I have a site built there, and I am using smf but the problem is that I cannot get to the site but others can. Godaddy support and my ISP can get to the site, and I can view my site and not get the error if I go to the site through a proxy(strange)(different ip/dns). For some reason it seems it has a problem with my NEW ip, which is 173.16.xxx.xxx. The site was working fine with my old DNS/ ip 12.134.xxx.xxx untill yesterday when I think they changed my ip and dns. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a new smf after contacting godaddy and my ISP. After the new install, I am still getting the error(Note I have uninstalled and reinstalled in differents directories and still get the error). I have tried a different server with the same smf(1.1.5) and it works smoothly but the mysql is on the localhost where godaddy is not, so I am thinking the problem has to lie somewhere with smf ,godaddy and my new IP and DNS. I am able to install and view other applications such as phpBB and zen cart on godaddy with out a problem. It is just SMF that I am having a problem with. When talking to my ISP they did say that some sites and host are not supporting this new IP that well right now so they put a ticket in for me to change my IP back to the old ip addy. Although this may clear my issue up, it is still a problem with all the other users that might be using this IPand DNS, so I am thinking about switching my host. Once they change my IP back, I will check and see if I can logon to my site. Anyways, I am still trying to figure this out because it is strange. Anyways, I guess I need to look and see how the Sources/Security.php is connecting and what it is checking. Any ideas or thoughts on this topic???
Well after messing with the problem for a while I believe the problem is in the smf security and the load.php files. It also might have to do with godaddy too. Just stabing int the dark here. Has to do with banning / my ip etc I fixed the errors and got it to go pass the security.php but after I did that, I started getting the error in the load.php. Anyways since I don't have time to work this problem all the way out(maybe I will in the future if it is not solved) and since my forum was not that big, I have chosen to go with phpBB. I hope someone finds a solution for this. I hope the posts I have posted here might point someone in the right direction in solving the problem.
I did really like smf :'(
