Manage Labels
Manage Rules
what are they and how do they work?
Manage labels was in SMF1.1 you can put certain PM's in the labels.
With rules you can assign PMs to be put there. (ie If the sender is shadow82x it will go to "Test" label")
LainaaMessage rules allow you to automatically sort incoming messages dependant on a set of criteria you define. Below are all the rules you currently have setup. To edit a rule simply click the rule name.

Well I learned just playing around with it. SMF needs to clarify a bit more on what it does.

that's exactly what i'm asking...
The help manual for 2.0 isn't ready yet. However, labels are like folders, you can label personal messages to make it easy to find them.
Rules enable you to automatically sort new personal messages that come into you.
For example, I have not set up many labels but I have a couple:
"Developers"
"Reports"
I have set up a couple of rules which say:
If a personal message is sent from someone in the "Developer" or "Lead Developer" group then label it with "Developers"
If a personal message has "[REPORT]" in the subject label it with "Reports"
This allows me to find all the messages related to development, and also the same with personal messages reported by users. I actually find it immensely useful if you get lots of messages as it helps sort the stuff you need to answer from the stuff you don't
