Title: Ignore Boards Options
Post by: Owdy on March 19, 2008, 08:20:16 PM
Is this 2.0 feature or just MOD for this site?

I do not see an option per-board to disallow a particular board to be ignored.  The mod for 1.x.x had this feature, and it was a very good one.  There are a few boards I do not want my users to be able to ignore.

I don't think 2.0 has that.

Note ignoring doesn't hide them from the board index.

Well then it's even worse than I thought!

The mod allowed these boards to truly be ignored, i.e. hidden from view including on the board index.  That was a great feature that I feel should've been kept in 2.0.

I still don't like that there's no option to explicitly disallow a board to be ignored.  I have a board or two I use for administrative messages that I absolutely want users to see new messages from on the unread post page.

Since the software is still in beta, I would strongly urge the powers that be to consider my concerns.  It seems silly to me that someone is going to likely have to write a mod to get this functionality when it could be put right into the software itself.
