The forgot password feature is not working. I tried a email account on the domain and a windows live email address as the board email and the emails are not getting sent. Is this a problem with the host or SMF? If smf how could I fix it?
I just tested this out on my forum and I didn't receive an email either. Another issue is that it states "Username/Email:" However if you specify a username it says "There are no usernames associated with that email.".
So the wording and the fact that it doesn't send out the reminder needs to be address. I checked the error log and none were reported. I'll have to look through the code later. Maybe this should be moved to the bug report board?
Any support given would be nice.
It doesn't work here on the smf site either.
Forgot my password earlier today and clicked on the link for a new one entered my email address and it told me I'd get an email , the first time was about 14 hours ago so I don't think it's coming :-\
Well, now there's an email queue -- so you have to wait a bit. That might be the problem.

Sure but it doesn't work on my own SMF 2.0 site and the mail queue is empty.
I would like to report the same issue on my Test Forum.
Mail queue is empty and no errors on the error-log.
Same problem on my test forum
In my forum mail queue is disabled but no forgot password mail does arrive, instead other e-mails do arrive.

This was a SMF 2.0 Bug
Bug #1780: Password reminder not working (http://dev.simplemachines.org/mantis/view.php?id=1780)
It has been fixed and the bug report contains a perfectly valid fix.
