Title: some help with joomla&SMF
Post by: azalin on April 10, 2008, 08:11:06 AM
Hey guys it's kind of terrible to search all this topics :P i need to ask you if it is possible for SMF to use the same account as the user account for joomla,
Example...
I have a joomla site, and SMF installed both, so if any user is trying to register must register on both site and forum is there a way to register only in one from these and have access for both?

There was a joomla bridge. It is no longer distributed.

So, the short answer is no. At this point you can not do that.

recommendation:  move to mambo, which does still have a distributed bridge.

distributing ANY smf-Joomla bridge is potentially a violation of the Joomla (and possibly the SMF) license. If you want to write it for yourself, though, feel free.
