Title: Problem With Database

I Upload smf and the i install smf but when i go to Database Server Setting i can't go on. In Server name i write localhost and in other places what i should write ?? I'm using freehostia.com and i create a new mysql database i put the information of database but nothing i got this error




Cannot connect to the database server with the supplied data.

If you are not sure about what to type in, please contact your host.
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
Click here to try this step again.


Any Solution ??

you have to enter the Database user name, Database password, Database name!

and where i can find them ??

Is

Server name:     

Username:

Password:    

Database name:    

Database filename:    

Table prefix:


Where I Can Find All Of Them ??

If you created a mysql Database then you know the name of it, the password and the user name, otherwise contact your host.

i did but i got one other problem

this:

The installer was unable to access the "smf" database. With some hosts, you have to create the database in your administration panel before SMF can use it. Some also add prefixes - like your username - to your database names.
