SMFForFree provides a free smf forum (albeit with certain features removed).
Your using the full official version of SMF which has full version.
To customize the look of your forum can you can use modifications and/or themes.
The smfforfree is very different from the regular smf. You can not customize it (smfforfree I mean). Whereas the regular smf can customized the way you want it. I believe that there is a theme that is based on the default with many different colors

Thanks for answering so quick :) I am still confused it looks like it has more features than the one i have How did they change the buttons on the boards from smf logo to the fairy? Did they use a mod? Or does that come with that feature?

About your above question, you can change the smf default buttons by simply logging to a ftp client and overwriting them with your own set.

i made that, it was just a default and i changed the colours :)
