I want to post my forum in the showcase but I use the default theme.
I use it as I have quite a few mods installed and its easier than editing a different theme and mucking the forum up.
So would I be able to post my forum in the Showcase board?

It says on the rules you can't I think.
That is correct. No default themes in the Showcase board.
The board isn't a directory, it is a way to show off some very creative things that are done to SMF.
If you are being very creative in other ways, you can try making a post in the board, but be sure to describe why you think it belongs in there. After that, it is up to the team members who watch that area and approve posts. Most likely, it will be rejected.
