Give is more info...What did you did? Was this a fresh install? Was this a upgrade from a previous version?

The favicon.ico indicates to a vbulletin forum. If that is the case you should ask for help at their forums instead

i had SMF 1.1.4 and upgraded it to 2.0. i'm eventually going to migrate to vbulletin. vbulletin won't migrate from 1.1.4.. only 1.1.2 and 2.0. i uploaded 2.0 and it caused the 1.1.4 version of SMF to disappear.
You need to run the upgrader.

But just curious, why are you migrating to vB?

i tried doing the upgrade.. i uploaded all the files from the 2.0 upgrade
and it caused my forum to not work
my friend offered to pay for it and i wanted to try vbulletin out.
Have you ran the upgrade.php?
i haven't yet, i'm still reading on how to do it. i did upload the files to the server

redownloaded it again just ot make sure and overwriting the files right now

got this. i overwritten all files and downloaded teh large update file
i'm a freaking bonehead.. i eventually figured it out. found out i lost all my data tho.. too late. lesson learned from this.. backup the data. dragoon thank you soo much for your patience and help.
