Otsikko: Rogue Code!
Kirjoitti: NiteHawk33 - toukokuu 18, 2008, 07:08:52 AP
I need advice on how to remove the line of code which displays before anything else is set up, and is visible on all pages of my forum (see below).

(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.peterbuchanan.co.uk%2FWebPics%2FBadCode.jpg&hash=04bbc4b6ffe6bc9592cc4f472a92fa2bc127f75b)

This is a line of code from "Separated Birthdays from Events" a modification package by SLeePy. I have tried reinstalling the package, which then displays a second line of the same code. When I uninstall, the second line goes, but I am still left with the first!

I emailed SLeePy some time ago for help, but had no reply.

I will do what it takes to remove it!

Thanks for your help.

Look at the Modifications.english.php file in the Themes\default\languages folder. All text strings need to be inside <?php and ?>

Many thanks.

Found it in a help list at the end of the file. Deleted the text. All gone now.

Very much obliged.

You should put the code back in there, it's likely needed for some mod you have installed. Only, this time, put it above the ?> line.

If you don't, your error log is going to be crying for it with several thousand pages of undefined errors.
