I recently converted to SMF and notice that member's email addresses are seen as default.
They need to open their profile to change this.
Does anyone know where and how I might change this function to be OFF by default?
Admin -> Security and Moderation -> Allow viewable email addresses (uncheck).
Unchecked is the default for this setting, but admins can see them anyway. Try looking at your forum as a guest.
QuoteAdmin -> Security and Moderation ->
I seem to be missing that option as a link in my admin.

Admin > Security and Moderation >> It should be there, did you click "Security and Moderation"
Find "General Moderation" or something like that.
:D
Security and Moderation is in the Configuration section of the Administration Center.
I can't find it either. Must be 2.0. Can I do this in 1.1.5?
Go to Admin->Features and Options and check the box for Do not reveal contact details of members to guests. If you don't even want members to see each others email, then use the SMF User Email System (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=371).
