I have a little big forum with 1,5mln posts. SleePy and JayBachatero know aready ;D
Converting all forum in one step will take days...
So,(while convertion attempts working in background :)) I decide to investigate possibility of dividing convertion to 2 steps.
Question: is it possible to run convertion in 2 steps for example
1 step) all posts before some date e.g. 01.01.2008
2 step) all posts after this date 01.01.2008.
Then merge data from 1 and 2 step in one database.
"For what?". It is simple. 1 step will take days... 2nd step will take hour or a few hours. Set forum on "Maintaince mode! for few hours is preferrably than on several days.
