When I click on Themes and Layout under Administration, I get this message:
Template Parse Error!
There was a problem loading the /Themes/default/Themes.template.php template or language file. Please check the syntax and try again - remember, single quotes (') often have to be escaped with a slash (\). To see more specific error information from PHP, try accessing the file directly.
You may want to try to refresh this page or use the default theme.

Apparently Line 22 is the problem. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?
What theme are you using?
**Edit** never mind, stupid question, I didn't see it at first

I imagine its the default. As I say, I'm really a novice. When I click on themes under Admin, the above error is all I get.
If you haven't made any changes you should be able to just upload the file again and it'll correct any errors.
Rename YOUR file to Themes.template.php to Themes.template.php~ first, then upload this file.

I haven't changed the template, that I know of. So, you're saying to find the file themes.template.php and change the name, and then upload the one you put in, and it should correct it?
Yes. The file is located in the Themes/default folder.
Just wondering why your files has a txt on the end and not a php
sorry, rename it to .php not .txt it's the same file. I have to change the extention at work to open it in an editor.
I'm having trouble. It won't let me rename it, it says there's already one named that even though I renamed the other one first. And it still says it's a text file.
Ok try this one then..... same file just correctly named.
Thank you! :) It doesn't give me the error message any more! Now, what I really wanted to do is put something on the top of the page that gives a link to my home page. Also a little message about the forum. I want it where it says, News: Just Installed. How do I remove the words Just Installed and put my own little message?
That my friend is super easy.....
Go to your admin panel and in the left colum under "Main" find "news and newsletters" and edit the one that says "Just Installed" ;)
Once you've done that let me know.
YES! It worked! Thank you so much!
And last but not least the link for your site link....
But instead of the link for the chat, you'll put [home].... post up if you have problems
