Post by: midnight68 on January 19, 2005, 12:22:33 PM
hi alll,

first I new a new convert from Ipb (less said about them the better)

I had an Ipb board stuck at a pre 2.0 final release which I have converted to SMF

just two problems I had so far one I think I solved the other i need some help.

I installed a virgin SMF all was ok
I upped the convertor and run it
All whent ok until the final bit. I then started getting a error at line 61 in the config file complaing of $ parse error.

I tried a clean install and same happened again so after I edited a virgin config file to my deets and uploaded and hey presto we working.

Although every thing seems to be ok the error log is full of the following now .

Undefined index: host
File: /.........../httpdocs/forum/Sources/Security.php
Line: 436

can any one shed some light on this please

cheers

Middy

btw Big thank you to all that put the time in on tihis software

Interesting.  What did you have to edit in the configuration file?

What is the URL to your forum?  The error you're getting suggests it's having trouble with that... or with a server setting.  Would you mind posting a phpinfo?  What is phpinfo.php? (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=18250.0)

Your forum URL is set to "/forum"... this won't work, sorry.  It has to be a full URL, with path and domain.

In other words, it should be:
http://www.trainhub.34sp.com/forum
