Title: joomla - license
Post by: blouogies20 on July 22, 2008, 04:16:41 AM
Hi

just want to find out is this topic  SMF Bridge for Joomla! Discontinued still valid?

Did joomla maybe change their license yet?

And who has some experience with mambo?

Joomla still regard there license to be interpreted in the strict sense.

There are options for joomla and smf on the joomla exchange though.

To me Joomla and Mambo are pretty much the same... code wise they now differ (J1.5 onwards),

I use Joomla, however I'd much rather code my own front end, I just do not have time.

It really depends on what it can offer your community and how it could make your life easier as an admin.

Yes I can recommend Mambo. The Mambo bridge is at this moment even better then the J! bridge ever was ;)

I'm migrated my sites from J! to Mambo ;)

jfusion is still in Alpha stage. (the stage before beta and RC)
Can't recommend software that is still in alpha stage on live sites  O:)
