I manually installed it.   It adds a new section on your forum homepage, below users online, where you can add some text....

I changed all occurrences of "Affiliates" to "Announcements", and I find it pretty cool!

p.s., I would like to see the ability to change the word "Affiliates" in the features and options section.  It would make this mod very useful and flexible.

I manually installed it - it's very easy - you should try before asking for screen shots!  It simply adds a new section on your forum homepage, below users online, where you can add some text....  and that's ALL!

I am afraid "affiliates mod" is a bit of a misnomer (http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=misnomer&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8).  You could add any text.

Do I give it a thumbs up or thumbs down?   I'm not pointing any fingers!

I changed the name of MY mod to Announcements mod!

I simply changed all occurrences of "Affiliates" to "Announcements", and I find it pretty cool!

p.s., I would like to see the ability to change the word "Affiliates" in the features and options section.  It would make this mod very useful and flexible.

Thanks!!

Remember of this is mod is in BETA , so maybe i add the ability to change the "Affilates" to another word

Nice Mod!

How about making them scroll! Mouseover stops the scroll....

The boards need some movement and this will let you put a ton of affiliates in there!

Nice job!

In your theme i cant find the login bar so:

FIND:
// Show YaBB SP1 style information...
    if ($settings['show_sp1_info'])
    {
        echo '
        <tr>
            <td class="titlebg" colspan="2">', $txt[645], '</td>
        </tr>
        <tr>
            <td class="windowbg2"><a href="', $scripturl, '?action=stats"><img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/icons/info.gif" alt="', $txt[645], '" border="0" /></a></td>
            <td class="windowbg" width="100%">
                <div class="smalltext">
                    <div>', $txt[64], ': ', $context['common_stats']['total_topics'], ', ', $txt[21], ': ', $context['common_stats']['total_posts'], ', ', $txt[19], ': ', $context['common_stats']['total_members'], ',
                    </div>
                    <div>', $txt[656], ': <b> ', $context['common_stats']['latest_member']['link'], '</b></div>
                </div>
            </td>
        </tr>';
    }

ADD AFTER:

//Affiliates by: www.mundo-se.com
    if (!empty($modSettings['arrange_affiliates']) && (!empty($modSettings['affiliates'])))
    {
    echo '<tr>
     <td class="titlebg" colspan="2">', $txt['affiliates_index'], '</td>
   </tr>
   <tr>
      <td class="windowbg">
           <img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/icons/members.gif" border="0" width="20" alt="', $txt['affiliates_index'], '"/>
      </td>

Hi NIBOGO,

Thanks for this good mod.

Have installed it. While installing had test failed with modsettings.php .

And i have modified it manually.

Went to the Affiliates link and filled the form and click save. - it redirected me to basic feature button and not saving and no output in forum index.

What could have caused this issue.

Hello!

I tried installing the mod, and it gave me an error in the ManagePermissions.php file.

So I parsed the package and tried to do a manual edit, but these lines do not exist in my ManagePermissions.php file.

Did you make this mod mainly for 1.1.4, or 1.1.x?

I attached my file in case you need it ;)

Hi As far as i know, have check it and this does not have error in the board.template page.
If you could add you mod settings page from source folder. I could give it a try.

Meanwhile i have checked this page and find no bugs in the mod edit.
Try uploading this file once.

I tried the file and got the same fails as before, Hmmm - not sure where to go from here. I am going to unistall and start from scratch to see what happens. This theme - though I like it alot, always seems to have issues when adding mods. Especially whhen it adds buttons or added features to the template.

sorry for jumping in here:
Hi all,
I got the Affiliates 1.0 mod, it uploaded fine, installed it onto the default core theme, works fine to on my smf 1.1.5 .
1 issue only.
when I am adding links to it they are appearing one above the other and then scrolling across the screen, instead of side by side (which is what I wanted).
Any ideas and help would be cool.
Thanks All

Tried a fresh install and modified the Boardindex.php as instructed (attached). Still can not access the Admin function, it defaults to the Basic Features.

Hi jmil,

I have went through your boardindex file and it is properly modified.
The error which you are pointing is due to the mod settings page found at ./Sources/ModSettings.php .

Kindly post the page, so that i could help you to modify it.

Hi Jmil,

Check the attached file - Clearly checked and it will work perfectly.
First Backup the existing file and replace this new file under source folder.

Make Sure i have added only two three modifications to it.
If you are going to remove this mod, just replace the previous file which you have backuped earlier.

Ok I installed it and I can now access the Mangement page - but i get an error at the top of my screen:

modSettings, $db_prefix, $helptxt; $config_vars = array( array('check', 'arrange_affiliates'), array('large_text', 'affiliates', '8', &$txt['affiliates_description'], 'affiliates'), array('check', 'arrange_affiliates_marquee'), ); // Saving? if (isset($_GET['save'])) { saveDBSettings($config_vars); writeLog(); redirectexit('action=featuresettings;sa=affiliates'); } $context['post_url'] = $scripturl . '?action=featuresettings2;save;sa=affiliates'; $context['settings_title'] = $txt['affiliates_mod']; prepareDBSettingContext($config_vars); } ?>config_vars); } ?>

This only occurs in the ADMIN - Features and Options page - all others are ok.

Just tested it too and nothing shows!

Hi Jmil,

As if now , replace the existing file.
I have made only the general edit.

Since its a different theme, is show the save error. It tries to save the affiliate page and got failed in it. So its shows up.

Ok you have to wait till the mod author come.
Maybe he will fix for your fav theme.

I absolutely love this mod...

Only have two, maybe three issues with it:

1.  Separate lines for each affiliate entry.  Typing one continuous line is a little tough when it comes to editing out images and/or text.

2.  Ability to stop the marquee effect on mouse over.

3.  Marquee is very jerky...you need to smooth it out a little...maybe the ability to adjust frame rate and speed.

Other than that...I like it!  However, I do believe the three items above need to be addressed in your next version.

just previewing it. then I'm copying all text and paste to the Affiliates area ;) simple.

atlast..!!!!!!! its just to reduce steps.. make it easy and a bit more user friendly..it would surely have much benifit if it is added. i think the mod maker might have known about this but i think he actually didnt need much complications :D

or we can manually do it i suppose.. we can copy the code from the new topic file and then paste it in the necessary place..

I am not that good at this.. i'll try out... if you know it already then please do reduce my work.. :)

thats actually not an error.. if you use package parser.. for manual edits use those boardindex.template.php codes for "All Edits (default)", If you try doing it for the other theme, by choosing the option "Only Theme edits (editing a theme to support a mod)" You will get some different codes which will cause the above error.. i fixed it that way :D... just a jackpot for me..

This mod doesn't work for me. I've manually gone through the edits to make sure they were right and they are. The good thing is, I don't get any errors! I am using version 1.1.5 for my forum. I have enabled this feature and put in the code but still nothing. Any ideas??

Maybe you have a custom theme , do you modify your BoardIndex.template.php ??

Hello!
I did all the edits in Boardindex.template.php and installed succefully the mod (my theme is Web 2.0) but I Don't see the Affiliates tab in the ADMIN index...

Thanks,
Gracias,

Excuse me but i dont have the time to edit your file , maybe you can try the parser for manual edit:

My error log keeps showing this..

8: Undefined index: affiliates_index
File: /home/bugpac/public_html/index/Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php (main sub template - eval?)
Line: 442

Is there an error there, I attached the file as likely you will ask... :D

I'm using SMF 1.1.6, Dilber MC theme.
Did the edits, but it won't save the settings in the admin CP - won't save it using the default theme either.
Saw this in some of the other posts, so here's my modsettings.php.

Thanks for the great mod.

I have tried it on 3 seperate sites. One was a fresh install, one had about 4 other mods already installed and the third is my working site that has a lot of other mods. Every single site gave me the same error with modsettings.php. All of the sites are running 1.1.6 SMF.
Even after I did the manual install and edited the files as the directions said to, it still won't save the settings - the mod won't work.
I hope you're working on fixing this mod. Apparently, I'm not the only one who likes the mod and wants to use it, but there's bugs in it. If you're not going to fix the mod, I'd like to know and I'll just delete it and go on.
Thanks,
Flip

and still not working.. I've installed on a new site with no mods all fresh installation with this being the only or first mod installed and same error..
Well since you dont have the time for any fixing of this mod, DO i have your permission to fix or re-write this mod? and distribute?

you edit one persons file, and just left mine sit?
what's up with that.
As i've stated earlyer i'm blind and could not get this to work even after doing a manuel install, So again I ask,
what's up with that?
I posted Tuesday is now Friday.

The only help i've receed was to look at a package parser, well that's what I did to install the first time.
So what next?

Affiliates Mod v1.2:

o Added Serbian Translation (Thanks to ravac)
o Support for SMF 2.0 BETA 4
o Fixed a bug with "Undefined index: affiliates_index"
o Affiliates v1.1 for SMF BETA 3/1.1.6 - v1.2 for SMF BETA 4/1.1.6

Hi, Thanks for continuing your support for this Mod
I uninstalled the last vesrion 1.1
and download 1.2 to fix "Undefined index: affiliates_index" errors as follows:

8: Undefined index: affiliates_marquee
File: /home/mysite/public_html/forum/Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php (main sub template - eval?)
Line: 498

But I am still getting them.  Also the 1.2 fix is displayed as 1.1 in the download manager.  I tried to manually make the changes but the instructions also appear to refer to 1.1.

Is it possible that the 1.2 installer has problems or is my error slightly different?

I will try to install the mod manually when i get more time, and then post my index if i still have problems..

w3.org does not like it when the scroll effect is used, it make it invalid.. also in my index template after installing the mod is a miss-matched div tag.

I thank you for this great mod... i've been "ghetto-rigging" my forums for a while. I do have a question though. I installed this on 1.1.6, everything went fine. Edited my boardindex file (although you didn't say in the original post it was necessary, it didn't work prior to the edit anyways). I still don't see the Affiliates mod in my acp or on the index at all. I'm using Crips GreyTech111 theme and as previously mentioned, smf 1.1.6. Also, is this not compatible w/ certain other mods? I have these installed:

-Irritate Lurkers
-reCAPTCHA
-Thank-o-matic (has a menu in the acp)
-Custom tabs

If you can solve this it'd be much appreciated.

Apparently the language.mod file was never edited. I manually added it and it works now. Thanks for the great mod.

I installed the Affiliates mod and MGallery mod.
They don't seem like each other.

I'm not sure as to which one is causing the problem.
SMF Media Gallery - 1.0.2 Mod

Error below

Apply Filter: Only show the errors with the same message
8: Undefined index: affiliates_marquee

I hope you can shed some light onto this for me, as I use both mods.
I'm using SMF v1.16
Thanks

The mod work with the SMF Default v2.0.4 , for other themes maybe this will not work

PD: You can use the marquee effect , but if you want tu put advertise maybe you can use the ad management mod

 ???

I install this mod, and prior to manually editing anything decided to uninstall...

Now I am left with the following above all my pages:

Quote//Affiliates Mod by: www.mundo-se.com $txt['affiliates'] = 'Affiliates
Is neccesary the use of html or bbcode.'; $txt['affiliates_mod'] = 'Affiliates'; $txt['affiliates_title'] = 'Affiliates Title
You can have your custom title for affiliates.
You can leave this in blank.'; $txt['arrange_affiliates'] = 'Enable Affiliates Mod'; $txt['affiliates_marquee'] = 'Marquee Effect
This is a text with marquee.'; $txt['affiliates_marquee_enable'] = 'Enable Marquee effect'; $txt['affiliates_marquee_disabled'] = 'Disable Marquee effect'; $txt['affiliates_marquee_mouseover'] = 'Stop marquee with mouse';

Need advice to where to find and remove this text.

Thanks in advance.

Didn't work for me. :(

My version is 1.1.5, and this is my custom theme: http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=577 (http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=577)

You have to do the manual edit for your theme , try the parser

Whats the parser?

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse;mod=1297;attach=69859;smf_version=1.1.6 (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse;mod=1297;attach=69859;smf_version=1.1.6)

I read that and tried it myself.

Could NOT find

Quote// Show the login bar. (it's only true if they are logged out anyway.

You have to try with the parser , your theme is different but you can add the code after the calendar events or the last posts

You can add the boardindex code to the index.template

Try the parser , maybe you have to change something for the theme and the position

now i am interested in shifting its position or may be have another one on top.

another issue i noticed is that it only stays on the index.php page and not on any other.. how do we fix it?

thanks for the help

Do not know why you need to close and open the center tag for every affiliate...
This should do the trick. Just add new affiliates before the closing center tag. Also, remember no spaces or line breaks between the affiliates codes.

anyway, my current problem isnt too big... it just doesnt save whenever i update it on the admin  panel.

When i click 'Save' it just goes to the first page on features and options, and thats that.

Any suggestions for this problem? :D

If you are using SMF 2.0 , you have to manually install the mod for your non-tableless theme using tables

Quote from: Nintendofanthr33 on November 15, 2008, 06:30:49 AM
OK, is this a common error?

8: Undefined index: affiliates_marquee
File: /www/html/forum/Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php (eval?)
Line: 514,512,510

it keeps doing this at Board index, and Marquee is OFF

I am running affiliates mod 1.3 on SMF 2.0 RC1 with marquee off
I get three identical errors per page view of the home page -

http://www.buildaskill.com/board/index.php?
8: Undefined index: affiliates_marquee
File: /home/***/public_html/board/Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php (main sub template - eval?)
Line: 465

File: /home/***/public_html/board/Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php (main sub template - eval?)
Line: 467

File: /home/***/public_html/board/Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php (main sub template - eval?)
Line: 469

Really would appreciate help on this and quickly - I built 12,000+ errors in the log in under 24 hours because of this mod

Thanks
Gaz

Hi NIBOGO.

I really love your mod, but when saving, I get a 400 error. I am using SMF 1.1.8, and 1.3 of the mod, and there is nothing in my Forum Error Log, or Server Error Log relating to the 400 error. It could be server-side, but I am unsure.

The only thing in my forum error log from the mod is "Undefined Index - affiliates_marquee", which is clearly unrelated to the 400 error (well, that's what i think).

Please let me know what the possible error could be. Thanks.

Hi Nibogo - any news on fixing that undefined index error - I'm getting 30MB core dumps daily now because of the number of errors in the log

This is becoming critical and I'm at the point of uninstalling it and just manually hacking the template and hard coding the links.

There is however the issue of releasing a mod with a bug that is causing massive resource usage on people's hosting accounts and potentially getting their hosting accounts suspended or closed causing the loss of their business.

And that is a very real possibility if you have trigger happy hosting managers like those at certain companies which a lot of SMF users are known to operate from.

If you're not willing to prioritise fixing a mod that is acting in a virus v1.0 manner (filling up storage space to the point of site crash) then I'm quite happy to report the mod as dangerous and have it removed from the library - does that explain the nature of the problem?

Just because the mod is free and open source is not a reason to delay critical support for the products you release.  If anything it should give higher priority to curing faults within them because the distribution and installation will be faster than with pay-to-use software.

I do realise all mods are without guarantee and installed at the user's risk - that does not absolve the mod-writers from the requirement to pre-test their mods before release, and to ensure they contain nothing damaging to the sites of the users.  From the number of reports in this thread, this has not been done with this mod.

NiGoBo - you do need to fix this as a priority above all other mod-related tasks - this mod is acting in the manner of a service-denial virus by filling up people's hosting space.

I am working on the SMF Affiliates Mod v2.0 Version. The version is on alpha status , actually I have the main page , full permission system , add/edit/delete/approve/unapprove affiliates based on permissions , You have an Affiliates Awaiting Approval , an admin panel with info about the installation , approval list , banners and some other stuff.

Here are some screenshots. Click the images below to see in full size:

Try adding the code of the Boardindex.template.php in the top of the file, I mean before the boards and cats or anywhere you want but remember to add the <table> code if is not in a table ;)

I downloaded the affiliates ref mod and it has been working great except for the banners. When I click on affiliates on the main menu and click on banners, it pops up with this error message.

Not Found

The requested URL /forum/path/xxx.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I know this means that I have to have the folder and the php file. I would create it, but I have no clue what to create. I looked to download the file, but could not find it. I would like to know how to add banners to the affiliate program. If anyone has a php file i could use, it would be awesome. Sorry if this is hard to understand, but I don't know how to explain it.

Hi Nibogo

I'm having 2 small problems (not important right now but might become so)
SMF 2.0 RC1 and SMF Affiliates v2.0

The text you add in the "posting window" in Affiliates main settings that should show up like in the image on the mod page, above the affiliate banners on the affiliate index, does not show - maybe it's not saving?  Anyway - any idea how to fix it?
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fcustom.simplemachines.org%2Fmods%2Findex.php%3Faction-download%3Bmod%3D1297%3Bid%3D92192%3Bimage&hash=9c740cf36142a3b7030c2075e55e34e07800eee0)

It is not showing when I try to use it - for any level of user including admins.
Could you give me a clue if there is a setting I might have missed (the packages installer added everything without errors - I am using a clone of the default theme with sidebar customisations and stuff like that)

Also

At the bottom of the forum index, the affiliates banners show up correctly, but to the left of them is the code "  left" > "
Can you point me at the file where that end tag might be coming from, then I can fix it?

Many thanks
Gaz

Edit - forgot to add - in the admin panel for SMF Affiliates Version, I get this -

Do you you think adding new features? =)

Yep maybe

1 - add personal banner.
Meaning all affiliate have different banner. Tracking can be possible. like (http://www.aardvarktopsitesphp.com/topsites/index.php?a=stats&u=demo8)
I don't care toplist but in-out click is very useful.
2 - affiliates stats..
3 - [This is very important for me] Affilate comment. [http://forums.wyrihaximus.net/toplist.php?sid=878aa9767d441cfea1df27bd815ab1e4&mode=site_view&w=out&id=1]

@NIBOGO
Do you you think adding new features? =)

Yep maybe

1 - add personal banner.
Meaning all affiliate have different banner. Tracking can be possible. like (http://www.aardvarktopsitesphp.com/topsites/index.php?a=stats&u=demo8)
I don't care toplist but in-out click is very useful.
2 - affiliates stats..
3 - [This is very important for me] Affilate comment. [http://forums.wyrihaximus.net/toplist.php?sid=878aa9767d441cfea1df27bd815ab1e4&mode=site_view&w=out&id=1]
4 - Affiliate vote.

And i give permission for my guest. :But guest not add new affiliate. Say "You are not permission."

1. I don't understand this one, do you want to put your own banner? or get stats of every affiliate?

2, 3 and 4. This features will be added also with PageRank support

I don't know what i explain this..
etc : Every my member can add affiliate. And they can select my banner in http://www.rockayseri.net/rk/affiliates/?sa=banners . I want to all user have different banner and same image. So.. If my user add own site to my affiliates, affiliate mod give he|she to specific banner code.
<a href=http://www.rockayseri.net/"><img src="http://www.rockayseri.net/rk/affiliates/?sa=banners;id=15" alt=""/></a>
Other member
<a href=http://www.rockayseri.net/"><img src="http://www.rockayseri.net/rk/affiliates/?sa=banners;id=16" alt=""/></a> etc..
And my affiliates mod can tracking this site. How many times seen on he's site.. User in or user out=(we already have this)..

I got it, I am not sure about that feature, I mean what id will be showned to the non-affiliates users?? Like guests...

I will think about it
Title: Re: Affiliates Mod [v1.4 & 2.0 RELEASED!!]
Post by: SA™ on May 31, 2009, 02:46:12 PM
you get it by the affiliates id not member id for instance you add your banner to my site you get a unick code for you to use wich contain the affiliates id and thats how you can track in hits you hit that url it updates the database with +1 for in hits then redirects to the board url

see what i mean by hitting this link

http://sleepy-arcade.ath.cx/sleepy/index.php?action=affiliates;sa=in;idaff=171

that will update the inhits affiliate id 171 the first affiliate on the list wich was the last one added then redirect to the board url

It has been awhile since I used this mod, But You Need to use the bbcode for resizing, I don't remember if it supports html? example: [img width=80 height=80]http://bla.com/bla.jpg[/img]
you can variate your sizes, you can parse but make sure you choose the right version, click the top button(1.1.x) , as bottom is set as default(2.0+) then parse it, I have made that mistake before, good luck

 Error in Package Installation
At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

Example:

You just have to set an html code like this:

<table border="0">
<tr>
<td>(BANNER1)</td>
<td>(BANNER2)</td>
<td>(BANNER3)</td>
<td>(BANNER4)</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>(BANNER5)</td>
<td>(BANNER6)</td>
<td>(BANNER7)</td>
<td>(BANNER8)</td>
</tr>
</table>

Remember that you can use BBCODE too! just replace <table><tr> and <td> with [table][tr][td] and [table][tr][td]

You are welcome ;)

I should also explane, one of the main reasons I chose SMF is because of the mods. I am no good at manual uploading (Just cant get the hang of it)

I dont know, but could it be the size of the mod, seen as one went up ok (Amazondvd) If it is size, can I adjust it some how. (Just grabbing at straws)
Any ideas you may have I am willing to try.
Thanks

Perhaps the only way may be to update your forum to the latest version...Means reloading some mods to the latest ones but is worth it.  Apart from that you would have to manually install it.

Mine does not work correctly. When I click on the affiliates tab, i am taken to the page but i get this text:

Affiliates Affiliates  - Link Us Link Us - Add Banner Add Banner - Add Affiliate Add Affiliate  - Awaiting Approval Awaiting Approval - Affiliates Admin Settings Affiliates Admin Settings  - Affiliates Stats Affiliates Stats

Where everything is written twice. I would like to know why and how to fix it. Maybe even add images to each link like it shows in the screen shots.

You don't have the affiliates dir in your images directory ;)

Upload the affiliates dir that is in the mod package to /your_theme/images/ using filezilla or any other ftp software, obviouslly replace your_theme with the directory of the current theme.

If you don't know how to use a ftp software please google it ;)

Hi Mr. NIBOGO, I've got an issue with your Affiliates system:

I had uninstalled your Affiliates mod v1.1 (manually, because that version didn't have a uninstaller) to upgrade to 1.4.

All was good, but when I uploaded and click on "Apply Mod" link, a warning message appeared:

[b]Apply Mod[/b]
[b]This package is already installed, and no upgrade was found![/b]

You should uninstall the old version first to avoid problems, or ask the author to create an upgrade from your old version.

Please remember to always make regular backups of your sources and database before installing mods, especially beta versions.

I deleted all code referring to your mod in ModSettings.php, BoardIndex.template.php and themes>default>language>Modifications.english.php.

what should I do to completely uninstall the 1.1 version, and install successfully the 1.4 one?

Thanks.

Hi

I have big issues with the mod.
A few days ago my forum crashed so I had to start editing the files again after a new upload.
After uploading all files to the correct places and editing all files manually to get things working as before I now get these errors.

Pressing the "forum" button on the top menu gives this error:
Database Error
Unknown column 'id_affiliate' in 'field list'
File: /usr/home/alltkul/domains/aggma.com/public_html/forum/Sources/BoardIndex.php
Line: 131

Pressing the "Affiliates" button on the top menu gives a white page with the text:
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/usr/home/alltkul/domains/aggma.com/public_html/forum/Sources/Affiliates db.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/share/pear') in /usr/home/alltkul/domains/aggma.com/public_html/forum/Sources/Affiliates.php on line 14

I am running SMF 2.0 RC1.2 and SMF Affiliates 3.0.3
link to forum: www.aggma.com/forum (http://www.aggma.com/forum)

Any idea what this can be?
My users are getting a bit annoyed.

Please help..

When i loaded this mod for some reason its telling me this Sorry, but this modification does not appear to be compatible with the selected version. And it says its compatible with SMF 1.1.10 i have no idea why it gave me that message so i didnt bother installing the mod.

If the mod is causing your board to crash i would recommand uninstalling it and the problem should stop.

I have smf version 2.0rc1.2 installed. I have the smf affiliates 3.0.3 installed. I think everything is working, but I see 2 of everything as far as the bar across the top and there are 2 rows of affiliates. Which is too large for the width of the site. Here is the example of the top bar:

Affiliates Affiliates  - Link Us Link Us - Add Banner Add Banner - Add Affiliate Add Affiliate  - Awaiting Approval Awaiting Approval - Affiliates Admin Settings Affiliates Admin Settings  - Affiliates Stats Affiliates Stats.

What is doubled and where so I can see only a single word and 1 row of affiliate banners. Please help. My site is.

The Development of this Mod has Ceased!

I have to leave the development of this mod due to I don't have time to support it, I'm no more interested in this feature and there is already another Affiliates System for SMF 2.0 RC2.

For People interested in have an affiliates system for SMF 2.0 RC2 Please check the SA Affiliates Mod:

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1511

You can have this mod on your forum and I'll leave the packages on the mod page but I won't support it anymore

This looked so promising when checking out the images, unfortunately, none of the features worked.  everything downloaded and installed successfully.  I even check each php file to make sure everything was added correctly.

I'm on SMF 1.1.11

All I have is on Affiliate tab in my AdminCP, to enable, add HTML, and turn off the marquee.

There's no where to let other add their affiliates, or approve them, and no where to rate.

I see the original coder is no longer supporting this MOD, but does it really work and do what all it says for anyone else on SMF 1.1.11?

Thank You

This looked so promising when checking out the images, unfortunately, none of the features worked.  everything downloaded and installed successfully.  I even check each php file to make sure everything was added correctly.

I'm on SMF 1.1.11

All I have is on Affiliate tab in my AdminCP, to enable, add HTML, and turn off the marquee.

There's no where to let other add their affiliates, or approve them, and no where to rate.

I see the original coder is no longer supporting this MOD, but does it really work and do what all it says for anyone else on SMF 1.1.11?

Thank You

All that features are only available for SMF 2.0...

An update on this:
I apologize for the (admittedly) ridiculous wait. Real life has been crazy, as evidenced by my hiatus from last month/this month.

I have updated this Mod to install cleanly on RC3, but decided to take the would-be version 3.0.4 to version 3.1 by doing more than just RC3 support. Version 3.1 will include:

Is there anyway I can get this mod to work on RC5 or is there a similar mod that's compatible with my SMF version?

Hi, I just installed smf 2.0.1 and tried to install this first thing. I am getting the following error messages when trying to install. Can someone explaing what I should do?

Error in Package Installation
At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.     (https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fbrowserteams.us%2Ferror.jpg&hash=5766600d5b88fc5f67f6d55570a50271f4821162)

Manually make the edits to the failed files , then install.

Or try this one.  http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1511   It doesnt have any more support, but it works just fin on my 2.0.2 forum

Ha2 is very rarely around, and when he is, it's not to work on any modifications unfortunately.

Thanks for letting me know about the support for this. I was going to do a manual install for this and see if it works since the other one doesn't have any support either. Hope someone can help me with this.

The first error was obvious. Instead of <h3> they used <h2> in this version. Found it and edited it but the next edit I'm not sure on. In BoardIndex.template.php it says to replaceecho '  </div> </div>'; with the supplied code. But when I look at the code the closest I could find was }
echo '
  </div>
</div></div>
<span class="lowerframe"><span></span></span>';
// Info center collapse object.
starting at line 470. So should I replace the whole thing including the span or just the div's or what? Attached is my BoardIndex.template.php which is from a fresh installed site.

Try placing the Affiliates edit BEFORE this

echo '
  </div>
</div></div>
