Hey, I am hoping somebody can help me with this. I'm working on making my SMF forum look as much like a ProBoard as possible, because my members are used to it. I'm new to this, but I like to think I pick up on things pretty quickly. My SMF forum is on version 1.15. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to pay someone for this, but he or she would have to let me pay them with Monopoly money or shiny objects.
Description:
Basically, whenever someone replies to a topic on SMF, they get taken to the thread list of the board the topic was in. Instead, when a person replies, I would like for the person to be taken to the page that their reply is on(like on a ProBoard (http://support.proboards.com/index.cgi)).

This is a default option in SMF.
To do this, go into your profile, go into Layout Preferences, then toggle "Return to topics after posting by default. []" with a check mark.
Oh, I didn't even realize that was there. Is there a way to make that the default for everyone?
Yep, you can do it from the admin pannel under "Themes and Layout" -> "Reset Options" -> "Reset default (guest) options for this theme". You will have to do it for each theme, that area allows you to choose the default settings, although members can change them.
Awesome, that helps. The only thing is, when I go to the Reset Options page, I only have the option of resetting the default SMF skin and not my current one.
There should be an option area for every different theme in the list.

I have recently moved my forum over to simplemachines from proboards...I need to know how to redirect people from the old site to the new one and also how to change the simplemachines site to the old name.

Your first question is a ProBoards question (redirect to another forum) so unless somebody else at SMF knows your answer I suggest you check with ProBoards support.
In SMF 2.0 (since you didn't give your SMF version) go to Admin -> Configuration -> Server Settings and change Forum Title to whatever pleases you.
Please post future support questions in the appropriate SMF 1.x or 2.x board here at SMF.

I'm on 1.1.7 and the aforementioned option isn't working. When the box is checked, we (my members and me) still get redirected to the index.
How do set redirect to topic after reply from admin area for the benefit of all members.
