Title: Creating a module for login
Post by: Buph on August 09, 2008, 02:00:44 PM
Hello. I have Joomla and SMF with Orstio bridge. Joomla version is 1.0.13, and bridge works very well, except login module.
I've read about is illegal to distribute the bridge, but... It's illegal make and distribute a login module too? I've tried other options, other bridges, upgranding, downgrading, and only works well this bridge. I need it for my members can post comments on Joomla articles with registered nick, under only one registration.

Sorry for my english, I hope you understand me.

The password hash of Joomla 1.0.13 changed, so the bridge you have is not compatible with the version of Joomla you have.

Hello, Orstio. Thanks for answering. I know that the problem is in Joomla passwords, but the rest works fine, or I think so. I've registered accounts on smf, and the bridge send the data to joomla perfectly. And this accounts work if I login using joomla's genuine module. So, the only thing to change is login module. Is correct?

Edit: In Joomla don't works, but users are in Joomla database. But my question is if there are any solution. Thanks in advance.

Now works. Solution is change the joomla.php of 1.0.13, inserting password code of 1.0.12,  and all works well. Less security, but I think is not as serious.
Module lets enter users in Joomla and SMF, but only there are one problem. If an user name has spanish special characters (like accents or "ñ"), login module don't works. Any solution for this?
