I know you guys have a MyBB --> SMF converter. I have three questions:
What version of MyBB is that converter?
Where exactly do I place the SQL and PHP file in my directory?
Does the conversion leave any content behind, be it polls, smilies, etc.?
The converter is for MyBB 1.2.x, but maybe it is also working for a newer version of myBB (not tested)... (download here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=145191.0)
The convert.php and mybb_to_smf.sql should be placed in the SMF directory, but they should also work outside. During conversion you have to enter the path to SMF and myBB..
the existing myBB Converter is near 100% and will also convert attachments, polls etc.
just try it, then converter will not modify your existing myBB in any way.

The converter doesn't work for mybb 1.4. I'm getting following error:
Notice: Undefined index: table_prefix in /www/htdocs/w009805b/smf/convert.php(399) : eval()'d code on line 1
Can somebody help me?

i have checked it and there seem to be only a few changes (and lots of new features added in myBB 1.4):
- config.php is different (so the mybb12_to_smf.sql was unable to access the database)
- table mybb_favorites was renamed to mybb_topicsubscriptions..
i changed this in the attached file.. can you test it and give a short feedback please?
(delete the old mybb12_to_smf.sql before)

it works, but I get following error:

Warning: copy(/www/htdocs/w009805b/forum/uploads/post_210_1202029455.attach) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/htdocs/w009805b/smf/convert.php(1076) : eval()'d code on line 20
But it says converting complete and all posts and polls e.g. were copied.

this doesn't matter.. there is one reference to an attachment in the mybb database, but the file itself is not existing.. so the converter tries to copy a non-existing file..
