I have some members that would like to know what number they are. Like I was 1st to register then John Doe is 2nd and so on. I know how to go into admin and see this. But is there a mod to add it to the profile, or below the avatar in post? If it will take scripting I will need help. Please visit my site www.polarisrangerforum.com and see if there is some more things I need to change.

Member ID number is what you're refering to, I'm assuming.
There is no accurate way in doing this as PHP and User ID numbers are not always intact. Meaning, if you delete member #3 and #4, those columns would be gone; and the 5th member would really be #3. See what I mean?
But regardless, there is no mod to do it ATM, but you can easily code it as it's stored in a variable. $member['id'].
So, open display.template.php
Find:
// Show how many posts they have made.
echo '<br />', $txt[26], ': ', $message['member']['posts'], '<br />';
Add after:
// The ID number.
echo '<br />ID: ', $message['member']['id'], '<br />';
That would be a good addition to the next upgrade. Just let it be an option in the profile and lock that number for that member. I am too scared to go into the scripting and make changes. Neorics was doing all my work but he can't at the moment. Thanks for the info.

It does lock the ID# for that member.
I know that for a fact or my whole website would be messed up.

The value yes-- but not the registration. Eg, if I was the 34th member of your website and you deleted members #3 and #4, my number would be 36. So meaning, I'm the 34th member with ID 36.
I only look at the actual ID_MEMBER for all my members, I don't really need to look at other things.
Well the OP said:

So I gave the appropriate answer. :)
