If you're looking for features, there's this (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/board/index.php?topic=6158.0) on the Coppermine board describing the features that different image galleries have.
I would however personally like to see something a bit different.
A certain kind of mod that would use the current attachments system, and allow people to upload rather large amounts of images into single posts. All of these images would then be put side by side in thumbnail format (thumbnails made using GD). The attachment system basically remains the same, it's just the display that changes quite a bit.

He's only begun to ask for features, but I must say that if it works like stated above it will be a mod I will most definitely use. The auto watermark feature is also something I've been looking for. I have already posted a feature request (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=19888.0) on this once. There is a script (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/board/index.php?topic=7160.0) on the Coppermine boards that I know works, you might find that helpful in figuring out how to do this.
Has this mod been completed? If not any news on something like this being done?
I think a mod for users to add more pics to their profile would be nice.
